In September of 2024, new designs for the project were completed.  After careful consideration of community input it was decided to move city hall into the design and to reduce the square footage of the original building in order to meet the current needs of the community while attempting to offset rising building costs since the original design was completed in 2019.  The current design is approximately 17,000 square feet.  Using rough estimates of $400/square foot the current design is estimated to cost $6.8M.  Currently, the architects are working with contractors to get a more detailed cost analysis.

The Slater City Council has decided to put a public referendum (bond vote) on the General Election ballot for the November 5 election, of $2.5M.  More information can be found on the city website at this LINK.
